EmoPulse Smile combines a smartwatch and phone into one wearable gadget with a curved display
The market of wearable gadgets is a new, unexplored area in which many companies are trying to come up with different ideas and bring interesting devices to the market. Undoubtedly, the most famous projects are Google Glass and Pebble Watch, but we can see also many other promising products under development. One of these brand new projects is the EmoPulse Smile which combines a smart watch, phone and digital assistant in just one piece of wearable tech, which can simply be characterized as the first “wearable smartphone”. The project is funded by the Indiegogo platform, aimed at raising $300.000 for 49 days.
The Smile will run Linux, according to the project page. You may consider that fact as a disadvantage, but the company promises that it will develop a unique custom system with many ambitions features. One of them will be the self-learning system which uses emo-sensors to enhance the process of learning, aims to be 8 times faster than the other operating systems. After you start wearing the EmoPulse Smile, it will adjust and adapt to your taste over the time, reaching a point where it will be your indispensable assistant.
The Smile can be used either as an independent wearable phone or as a smartwatch which can be connected to your main device. Used as a smartphone, the Smile will be easy to use – to answer a call you just need to say “Yes” and the natural voice recognition technology will take care of your incoming call… or you can press the button if you want. The gadget includes also a 12-megapixel 1080p main camera and the impressive 128 GB or 256 GB of internal memory. Moreover, the Smile will come with 2 additional cameras – one for video chat communication, tracking your face position and another one functions like a pointer and a mobile text scanner. The smartwatch includes NFC systems for wireless payments and an improved PurePath™ sound technology.
If the project is successfully funded within these 49 days, The Smile will be shipped to the backers sometime during October 2013. The price of the 128 GB model is fixed at $380, while the 256 GB version costs $550. If you are among the first 200 backers, you will have an $80-off the price of the 128 GB model, or it will cost you only $300.
