Sony Xperia Z1 with G Lens now almost confirmed
The Sony Xperia Z1 aka Sony i1 Honami is stepping hard on the pedal of its marketing campaigh dubbed #bestofSony with teasing shots of the new Sony device that is supposed to come up on September 4th -5th as the difference may come from the different time zones. This time we get to see another mysterious shot of the device showing the camera right next to which stands a “G” letter most probably to confirm that the new Sony Xperia Z1 will come with G lens. Sony Mobile in China confirms that the device will be reveled on 5th September which, as we said, means that the difference in times will put the Sony Xperia Z1 with G lens reveled in Berlin right on time. We should also note that from the picture we see that the camera is with a single LED flash if anyone was still hoping for dual.
With a clever wordplay Sony Mobile manages to ask a very valuable question “Have we captured your attention yet…? #bestofSony,” We all hope that Sony has managed to capture a lot of people’s attention and that the new device will manage to pull the company up a bit. What is more the clever phrasing clearly underlines the double meaning of the word “capture” as it may also refer to the Sony Xperia Z1 with G lens. Previous teasers showed a device very similar to the Xperia Z with one major difference 20.7-megapixel camera that is expected. We also expect the device to have improved water and dust resistance.
The “G” for a Sony lens stands for high-quality lenses used in DSLR cameras and from Sony claim that they are 100% comparable to Zeiss optics in quality The company also claims G Lenses are known for their Grace (meticulous attention to design, looks and materials), Gather (most G Lenses offer maximum aperture and sufficient brightness even in low-light conditions), and Gratify (minimum flare inside the lens barrel).
