Sony Xperia Z Ultra will join the world of large-sized smartphones
The trend of the large-sized smartphone brings more and more fascinating models to satisfy users’ demands. The newest addition to the team of plus-sized mobile devices is Sony Xperia Z Ultra. This monstrous handset by Sony sports a sleek and ultra thin body that resembles the design of the original Sony Xperia Z. the main advantage of the new handset is its amazing display – 6.44-inch with a resolution of 1080p. The term that Sony uses to describe the screen of Xperia Z Ultra is “Triluminous.” It unites several technology used in the Bravia television line and the video-enhancing software X-reality. What makes the display so unique is its ability to analyze the video and to reproduce the lacking pixels. The results are sharper and vivid colors.
The body of Xperia Z Ultra follows the same build as its siblings, Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia Tablet Z. It boasts tempered glass on the back and on the front panels. The power button is located on the right side of the handset. The material used for the panel of Sony Xperia Z Ultra is metal which provides additional strength of the body of the device. In addition, Sony Xperia Z Ultra has IP55 certificate for resistance to water – it will live for 30 min in 1.5 meters deep of water. The smartphone will run on Android 4.2 with improvements of Sony. The processor of the device is quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU with 2.2GHz. Xperia Z Ultra is super slim – 6.5mm.
The new smartphone will arrive with a 16GB of internal storage. It will support microSD cards for enhancing of the memory. The battery of Xperia Z Ultra is pretty impressive with 3000mAh that assure 22 hours of talk time for owners of the device and 120 hours of audio playback for music fans.
May be the only disappointing feature of the handset is its 8MP primary camera. The quality of the pictures is very good. The camera provides HDR modes. On the front panel there is a 2MP camera.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra will hit the markets at sometime in Q3 of the year. There is still no information about the price of the device.
