A new dual SIM smartphone for China – Samsung Galaxy Trend 3
A brand new product has been announced for the Chinese market – the Samsung Galaxy Trend 3. This will be a dual SIM device that looks like the Samsung latest’s flagship handset – the Galaxy S4. But it only looks like. Although it looks like a flagship, it will be low- end device according to the 2013 standards.
The Galaxy Trend 3 sports a 4,3-inch display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a single core processor at 1.2 GHz. The RAM and the internal storage haven’t been specified. This model will include an 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery. Overall, in terms of specifications it looks like a normal budget device that has a design similar to more expensive mid-range/ high-end products.
What’s more? Besides the dual SIM slot, this smartphone will have many connectivity options – USB, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, although NFC is missing. Samsung Galaxy Trend 3 runs the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and supports GSM 900/ 850 /1800 and 1900 bands in addition to WCDMA 900 and 2100. Samsung will launch four different models of the device – one unlocked, and one for each of the following Chinese carriers – China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom.
The Galaxy Trend 3 will be offered in three colors – white, black and powder pink. There is no information about pricing or launch date, but we should expect the new model to arrive before the end of 2013.
To summarize, the new Galaxy Trend 3 is a new product for the Chinese market. It is a dual SIM model that has a modern design, looking similar to the Galaxy S4. In terms of specs, it is definitely a low-end device.
