Microsoft Surface Pro now available in Japan
Unlike other companies, who experience unexpected turmoil and hardship, Microsoft follows slowly but implacably their pre-scheduled plan, the latest accomplished point of which is releasing Microsoft Surface Pro at the Japanese market. Something more – now the tablet has a new edition – a 256 GB version that will give you the freedom to keep even more data on you slate. If you live in Japan, you can pre-order your 256GB version and it will be shipped on June 7, which is a big step for the company. Microsoft has not only increased the original 64GB/128GB version of their tablets, but has made another step to the worldwide distribution of its products.
Probably there is another great change concerning Microsoft Surface Pro. It has been noticed that there is a lack of the 64GB version, which is possibly because a lot of people complained that the 23GB left for them to use in the 64GB version were insufficient. Perhaps from Microsoft have heard their complaints and have decided to phase out the 64GB version, which can be replaced by the 256GB version. However, this change may be exclusive and only for Japan.
Microsoft Surface Pro 128GB will cost the Japanese users 99 800 yen, which is about $975. The 256GB version is about $200 more expensive – 119 800 yen or $1170. For this money the users will receive the tablet with pre-installed Microsoft Office 2013 and the opportunity to win a Touch Cover from Beams, Moussy, RodeoCrowns, Rienda or another local brand, which are in a limited edition of 100 units. We will continue to keep an eye on the news about Microsoft in order to understand whether this is really the end of the 64GB version and where else will the 256GB one be released.
