China press photo of HTC One X 5 stirred the e-world
The highly anticipated 5 inch HTC “monster” phablet has been talked about a lot lately. Over the past weekend however, rumors turned into speculations, since China press released a photo which allegedly showed the device, mentioning also that it is supposed to go by the name HTC DIx, or DROID Incredible X.
It is still early to be sure of and about anything, however, and the name of the device is the least to wonder about. Some argue that the phablet will be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, most likely the MSM8960. Others expect nothing spectacular but just another LTE quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 pro. Based on the released photo, everyone expects the device to have 1080p resolution on a 5 inch screen with a tremendously high pixel density (480ppi is rumored), and with Beats Audio included.
The phablet will be Verzion bound, and shall have to compete with a few other “monsters” presently already available or expecting launch, such as LG Intuition and Samsung GALAXY Note II, Apple iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S III, as well as the upcoming Motorola DROID RAZR HD and the rumored LG Optimus Blaze.
