Automated Device is a complete rules engine to customize your device behaviour automatically

There are tons of automation apps out there that enable your mobile devices to automatically change settings depending on certain conditions; however some are better than others and offer more awesome features. With that being said, the Automated Device app can give your smartphone or tablet a brain of its own without the need to have root access. Of course, there are always some features that will require further user privileges, but for what it’s worth, the app can work fine with granted basic access.

As other utilities, this one is taking into consideration Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, messages another conditions in order to perform certain action. In plain English, Automated Device customizes your phone or tablet to behave automatically without user’s intervention. It can set a hardware state, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, speakers, to launch or kill a program, to send an SMS or e-mail and etc. Its Rules Engine also allows you to create many rules, using the AND/OR clauses.

For example, if the weekday is Friday and the time is between 7:00PM and 09:30PM, your current position is in the cinema, so your device will be automatically set to silent mode. Or, other clauses like: the weekday is Monday and the time is between 8:00AM and 9:00AM and the battery life is higher than 25%, ,then send an SMS to a certain number.

• Set sceen off timeout

• Activate or deactivate Wifi hotspot
• Play a system notification
• Vibrate some milliseconds
• Show popup message with free text and variables
• Show a tob bar notification with free text and variables
• Enable / Disable rules.
• Sent variables (temperature, position, etc) to a web server as HTTP parameters
