Acer announced new version of Iconia B1 at MWC
A month ago at CES Acer announced their 7-incher Iconia B1-A71. It surely is a good tablet and its price is tolerable – 119 Euro. Let‘s see what it features.
The Iconia B1-A71 has a dual core processor Mediatek, clocked at 1.2GHz rate. The screen is 7 inches in diagonal, with the amiable resolution 1024×600. It has a front camera of 0.3MP and 8GB of storage capacity. As we already said, one can get it for only 119 Euro.
The company has decided, however, that the storage is not sufficiently. And, on the first day of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Acer announced a new version of the Iconia B1 – a 16GB one. Is there another difference? No, except the price, which becomes 139 Euro – with 20 Euro more.
And here comes the always actual question – why have a tablet with so much memory, when 8GB seem more than enough? Well, we don’t know what you are going to put in it to use all the 16GB. Moreover, with the support of microSD up to 32 GB, giving more money for a tablet with more storage capacity seems a bit unnecessary. However, this decision fells on the customers to make and we have to congratulate Acer for their new product. One is for sure – they care for the needs of their customers.
