Windows Surface RT tablet in a TV spot mocking iPad 4 this time
Microsoft has previously had quite some fun with the iPad and the Iconia tablet. However, now it is time for them to show off their Windows RT tablet. What better way to do that by a fresh TV commercial showing the great qualities of the Windows product over the iPad.
If you remember well previously Apple also used anti-commercial to bring customers from Windows to the Apple software and hardware. It is still debated if it was successful but it was pretty fresh. This time there are not real people on the video but rather the two devices standing side by side and having statements about one another and making us buy one of them.
“Oh no, here we go again,”cries Siri and right off the bat. The lack of a kick stand for the Apple device makes it really easy for Microsoft to make fun of it in their ad. The real kicker is that you have to hold it in your hand for the iPad 4 to really stand the way you want it to. The Microsoft Surface RT also supports a USB port while the iPad does not have such option available.
That Siri is a real joker. “Oh, snap!,” she exclaims again seeing the Microsoft Touch Cover that docks to the Surface RT and becomes a touch style QWERTY keyboard. This is all the while Siri is afraid that the things are not going smooth for it. The prices are also interesting The 32GB Apple iPad 4 is priced at $599 vs. $349 for the 32GB Microsoft Surface RT.
