Unknown LG devices running KitKat surfaced online
LG-D830, LS740, LG-D410, LG-D320 and LG-MS323 don’t seem to indicate any existing devices we know
LG is getting ready to launch plenty of new devices running Android 4.4 KitKat, however they won’t be necessarily flagship ones. Before the latest Android operation launched, we didn’t expect to see any low to mid-range handset running it, however Google did take some important steps in order to optimize KitKat to work on devices with as low as 512MB of RAM.
This, on the other hand, means that older low-budget devices can have the KitKat taste as well and all of this without issues. In that order of thoughts, several unannounced LG handsets running Android 4.4 surfaced online at HTML5Test and the list includes model numbers that can’t be associated with any popular LG flagship devices. In fact, the numbers can’t be associated with any present LG devices whatsoever.
The numbers are LG-D830, LS740, LG-D410, LG-D320 and LG-MS323, and you can see more details in the images above. Starting with LG-D830, the device was first spotted few months ago and the only number that it reminds us of is the Google Nexus 5 that wore LG-D820 and LG-D821. Unfortunately this isn’t much to work with. The leaked model points out only at running Android 4.4 KitKat and sporting a Full HD display. According to the user agent profile sighting, the handset will also support LTE connectivity.
The other device with model number LS740 appears to be getting ready for Sprint as it surfaced at the Bluetooth SIG in a list of LG LTE mobile devices. Hoping there’s some relation, a device with a similar number LS720 is actually Sprint’s LG F3 that was unveiled last year. In all, every other LG handset that arrived at Sprint wore the LS letters in the model number.
So far, LG is getting ready to unveil several devices as MWC next month, so let’s hope the event would shed more light on the matter.
