Three new apps for users of Windows Phone – TLC, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet
Since yesterday Windows Phone Store welcomes three new apps officially released by Discovery Communications. Users of Windows Phone will enjoy the TLC app, the Animal Planet app and the Discovery Channel app. The three apps work in a very similar way. All of them provide users with access to the variety of programs and shows on the channels, including full episodes, abundance of clips and the schedule of the televisions.
Those of you who have favorite shows and favorite episodes of the shows on TLC, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet can take advantage from the option to access a selection of full length episodes. There is also an option for watching the preferred by you clips from different shows on the channels. The schedules of the televisions are a main feature in the three apps.
As we mentioned above the three apps are compatible for the OS Windows Phone only. They work in tune with some of the specific features of the platform. Users can easily manage the settings to enable the app to control the lockscreen and change the picture that appears on the display with the screen of one of the channels showing the currently streaming program and the coming up next shows. There is also the possibility to include your favorite programs in the Start screen that gives you an instant access to the show and the episodes.
The three apps can be found only at Windows Phone Store. The apps are still limited to work only in some regions.
