Start your engines, because Angry Birds Go! is now available in the Play Store
Unfortunately, the in-app purchases might take away from the fun
Recently we were able to have the first glimpse at Rovio’s Angry Birds Go! thanks to the iOS software launch that allowed some users in New Zealand to check out the game and share some spoilers. The game is finally available for all Android users as IAP supported free download and it features our beloved characters set up for the go-kart race of their lives.
Angry Birds Go! is Rovio’s first 3D game from the franchise and offers amazing graphics, incredible environments and lush effects, it simply looks great. The racer features many cool stunts, special power moves, side tracks and everything that can make a racing game epic. You can play with all your favorite birds and pigs from the franchise and you can also check out different game modes like Race, Fruit Splat, Time Boom, Mega Match or Champion Race.
Of course, the game includes in-app purchases so in case you don’t feel like spending hours on the same levels over and over again, you can upgrade your kart and get ready to compete in later events by purchasing upgrades, new karts and etc.
The game uses gems as a currency so you can win some by winning races or by purchase, in order to advance quickly. Once you win or buy gems, you’ll need to convert them into coins so could upgrade your sweet ride.
Unfortunately, speaking of purchases, the game might have gone too far with that. Apparently, at some point the ranking in a bigger profit gets in the way of the game experience, so if you really want to advance, you’ll have to spend a lot of money and this might take away all the fun. In fact, some in-app purchases are ridiculously expensive as $50, but at least the early version’s $100 Big Bang Special edition kart has been removed.
In all, Rovio has worked really hard to bring us such a nice racer, it’s pretty good, fun and it deserves a chance. So go straight to the Google Play Store and check it out.
