Sphero ball – just for fun
Nobody has said that everything at the Mobile World Congress needs to have some purpose. Or to be useful. For example, CAT B15 surely is a very useful and durable phone if you need something to survive water, dust and shocks, but there have to be some things created just because they represent awesome ideas. One of them is Sphero ball and, yes, it is just for fun.
What is Sphero ball? A robot. Or, to be precise – half a robot, half a ball. In fact, let’s just say it – it is a robotic ball. If you are fan of the augmented reality, Sphero ball will appeal to you. But really, what does it represent?
Sphero ball is a robot that you control with the help of your Android or iOS device. The funny contraption has an app with it and when you move your finger on your tablet, the ball performs the same gestures on the ground. As if Robocop has lost something precious that he will need later.
What’s more interesting, there are a number of apps with the help of which you would be able to control the robotic ball. An example is Sharky the Beaver – you move him around the virtual room on your tablet (which is the same as the real room, captured by the camera of the device) and Sphero ball moves on the ground.
Surely, it is quite a fun. And the kids and some pets would love it. If you like the idea, you could get your unit for 129 Euro and the company ships worldwide, so you don’t need to worry about your location.
