Sony Xperia ZL gets the new Android 4.2.2 update
The new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update will bring to the Sony Xperia ZL some new features and improvements. The update will reach the European and North American edition of the device. The Firmware build 10.3.A.0.423 will include the latest Android and some specific Sony software features. Among the Android improvements will be a better Google Search and Google Now service.
The new update will bring the latest version of the Sony Media Apps offering seamless services. My Xperia app will be added so users will be able to find their devices, which will be more protected than ever. The navigation bar will be updated with new customizable settings added. There will be new widgets on the lock screen and the home screen. One of the best new features will be the 64 GB microSD card support.
Similar to the Sony Xperia Z, the Xperia ZL offers some nice high-end characteristics. There is a quad-core processor, Full HD screen, 16 GB of internal storage, a 13 MP main camera, a 2370 mAh battery and a 5-inch display. The device is nice packed and looks solid in hand, not so heavy and fits perfectly in your hand. Now with the new software update the phone could be even more attractive. If you live in Europe or America you can expect to be prompted to install the update in the next few days, according to the Japanese company.
Actually, Xperia ZL will be the first device to get the latest Android 4.2.2., but we expect the update to be rolled out to the Xperia Z as well. Sony Xperia ZL will be the first non Nexus device to get the new official Jelly Bean build. Sony promises new regions and countries to be added soon.
