Sony Xperia SP comes in UK through O2 and Three
If you want a new Sony device but do not intend to spend much money on it, the solution is Sony Xperia SP. After the release of Sony Xperia Z, the new flagship of the Japanese company, Sony is preparing a few new devices for the mid-range market, one of which is Sony Xperia SP.
The device will come in UK through the networks of two carriers – O2 and Three. You will be able to get your unit of Sony Xperia SP from O2 by the end of the month, which is really a good news, but there’s no information about the availability from Three yet.
We already reported to you in the end of February that Sony is planning to release Sony Xperia SP. The device is going to sport the powerful dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7GHz and backed up with 1GB RAM. The GPU is the popular Adreno 320, which will make everything look better on the 4.6-inch TFT display (with 1280×720 resolution). You will be able to make high-quality photos with the help of the 8MP Exmor ES rear shooter or to make video calls with the VGA front camera. Sony Xperia SP has 8GB built-in memory and features all kinds of connectivity. There are also new personalized notifications that will guarantee you always find out you have missed a call or a text.
The mid-ranger with 2370mAh battery will probably cost you about £300 if you want it unlocked and SIM-free. However, the carriers will probably offer it for free if you sign a long-term contract with them. Another good news is that Three promises that its customers will automatically connect to the 4G LTE network when it launches later this year without having to pay additional fees and taxes. So, better start saving some cash, because Sony Xperia SP is hitting the market soon and we will be seeing some fabulous offers.
