Rumors for the source code for Samsung galaxy S4 Google Edition
More news from Samsung emerged from a new entry in the Open Source Release Center database of Samsung rumored to be the kernel source of the newest smartphone by the manufacturer. The work name of the device is GT-i9505G and if speculations turn out to be true; this is the code for Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition. The scheduled launch date of the smartphone is on 26th of June and as we know the edition of Samsung with Snapdragon processor has the name GT-i9505. Another reason why the rumor might be true is the fact that the new model number has a Wi-Fi Alliance certification. The easiest place where to find this information is the Bluetooth registry.
More facts showing that the entry really is about the galaxy S4 Google Edition are the pictures posted to Picasa that claim to be taken with the i9505G, posted by the team of Google, according to sources. Although this information does not directly points that i9505G is in fact Galaxy S4 Google Edition, we believe that it cannot be just a coincidence. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this information only by seeing the pictures.
The speculations about this topic will continue until the last minute before the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition becomes officially launched. It is not impossible for this source code to be the work name for another Samsung device. It is true that the letter “G” matches the first letter from Google Edition, but it can also means thousands of other things. Even Samsung has revealed in the past devices that had “G” at the end of the source code. 26th of June is just one day apart from now. We will wait and see.
