Plants vs. Zombies 2 now available for Android via Google Play
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is e free tower defense video game by PopCap Games that, unlike its predecessor, supports in-app purchasing of coins for power boost, launched worldwide for iOS on August 15 and quickly climbed to the top of all free app charts in 137 countries. In the long- awaited sequel to Plants vs. Zombies the player starts at home while the tutorial is on, but then there’s a time-travel to Ancient Egypt, Pirate Seas and even the Wild West, as well as the Far Future. The player has to defeat zombies in all stages. After the test run in Australia and New Zealand, PopCap finally released Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android.
The new version is identical to the one released for iOS users, except there’s a switch from Apple’s Game Center to Google Play Game Services for tracking achievements and the players pay only in case they want to skip to quick victory. The Android version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 works with all devices that run Android 2.3 or higher and can be downloaded for free. The simple strategy game will also have support for Play Games, which means we can challenge our friends to beat our scores, though there’s no information if there could be a multiplayer fighting-zombie team. Either way, Play Games is a badass addition to Plants vs. Zombies 2.
As for the in-game purchasing, this can be done not only by paying money, but also by simply playing a lot and earning points.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 reaches 4.5 out of 5 stars as well as the total number of hours the users have played the game reaches 81 000 000. And this is only due to the iOS users who hit 25 million downloads. Imagine how these numbers will increase now with the game release for Android!
Now, go to the Play Store and start fighting zombies.
