Lately every day seems to be a Nokia Normandy day (aka Nokia X) with new leaks and rumors surfacing on the web. First we found out what the name of the upcoming smartphone will be – Nokia X.
Thanks to the recent leaks the specs of the Android-running handset are no longer a mystery. We already know that the Nokia X will feature a 4-inch WVGA screen. It is arriving with a dual-core processor under the hood. The chipset provided in the phone is Snapdragon 200 couples with 512MB RAM. The model boasts 4GB built-in memory and there is a microSD slot for cards. The upcoming device is working on the newest update Android 4.4 KitKat which is a real advantage of the phone compared to the its rivals on the market. The latest leak for the Nokia X revealed that it will arrive in six different colors. The model is a budget device with dual-SIM support. Recently the device was spotted in the database of benchmark database of Browsemark 2. It is listed under the name RM-980. The leak with the results reveals that the device has scored 1885.88 performance of the Chrome browser.
One of the latest leaks that claimed to present Nokia X suggested that the phone is already listed in the website of an online retailer. However the described device included Google services which lead us to the conclusion that the leak is most certainly not true. The recent rumors reveal that the phone is not Google certified. This means that it will not provide access to Google Play Store. There is a good chance to see a dedicated Nokia app store for the compatible applications for the new device. Owners of Nokia X might be able to sideload apps that work on Android. The new model smartphone is expected to be presented at the press event before MWC in Barcelona in less than a month.
