Nokia Lumia 925 with Glance Screen feature to be released in Germany on June 17
Nokia Lumia 925, the 4.5-inch Windows Phone with the new Glance Screen feature will hit the shelves in Germany on Monday. After that, the Finnish giant will release the metal-build Smartphone in more markets like China, US and other European countries. The main point here is the new Glance Screen feature. It is a standby screen clock showing to the users the battery power left and the current time, without touching the display. By double tapping the screen, customers will be able to unlock the home screen and start using the phone, a new Nokia press release explains.
Apparently, this is the beta version of the feature, available first in the Lumia 925, but as soon as it is finished, it will arrive with the impending Lumia Amber software update to the other Windows Phone 8 devices. With the Amber update, the devices will be enhanced with many small improvements like the Data Sense feature. Besides the Glance Screen, Nokia Lumia 925 has a night mode feature, reducing the glare in dark light conditions. Announced in May, the Lumia 925 is expected to make a huge impact, similar to 920s. Compared with its predecessor, the Nokia Lumia 925 has a new smart camera App and a metal-build body with a polycarbonate back in different colours. Soon after the German launch, the smartphone will hit the US shelves and many other markets.
It seems that the Nokia Luma 925 will also arrive at T-Mobile– a pre-registration page is already live and you can subscribe for updates and news about the upcoming device. At the moment, there is no other information about pre-orders or shipping date, but we expect these details to be announced in the near future. Meanwhile, some carriers in China have already begun taking pre-orders. Stay tuned to find out more details about the high-end Nokia Lumia 925.
