New trade-in program for smartphone owners announced by Walmart

For all of you smartphone owners that wonder how to get any value of your old device, Walmart gives you an idea. Take a part in the new trade-in program announced by the company. It begins on 21st of September – only one day after the newly revealed smartphones by Apple will arrive on the shelves of retailers. The trade-in program includes a vast range of models. The value that customers get in exchange of their old device depends on the condition and the model of the smartphone. The deal might bring you between $50 and $300 for buying of new handset. The trade-in program will be held by CExchange. Participants will be asked a few questions related to the device to help for the evaluation of its worth.

The program will be available on the territory of the US in more than 3600 stores of Walmart and Sam’s Club. The trade-in program seems as a really good deal, especially if the announced by Walmart examples are true. Smartphone owners will be able to get $300 for iPhone 5 device in excellent condition. Samsung Galaxy S3 will be $175 worth. Samsung Galaxy S2 will bring you $52 etc. The trade-in campaign competes against similar promotion launched by Apple not long ago. There are third party companies as well, like Gazelle which also provide tempting trade-in programs.

Those of you that want to participate in the trade-in should remember the date 21st of Sept. After this date, just go to the nearest Walmart store and head to the electronics department. The employees in charge of the program will evaluate the device and the credit will be applied to the buying of new smartphone. The new device comes with a contract, prepaid or postpaid wireless plan. The old devices will be recycled or refurbished by CExhange. Customers are advised to delete all the personal information of their devices.
