New device by Sony – Xperia SP
Well, after Xperia Z did officially hit the German market and is going to be released internationally in a week, today we hear new rumours regarding Sony and its further plans. The report suggests that the new device of Sony will have the name Xperia SP and we have some leaked details, though nothing is official and nothing is for sure.
Sony Xperia SP with project name C530X is expected to come with a dual-core processor Snapdragon S4 by Qualcomm, the GPU will be Adreno 320, and the display will probably be HD with the size of 4.6’’. The Exmor sensor will be integrated in this device, too, and the rear camera is expected to be 8MP. The device will have 9GB storage capacity and will support microSD. Design-wise, the panel will be aluminium, except the back plate, which is said to be made of plastic.
Well, the new project surely doesn’t aim to be the company’s new flagship and may successfully be one of the average devices with a bearable price. We don’t know exactly how much will Xperia SP cost and whether to expect it, but it sounds a tolerable device with good specs. Maybe Sony has a few more trumps left for the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in the end of the month.
