New ASUS tablet rumoured to appear at the Mobile World Congress
As always, the first months of the New Year are full or hearsays and reports for new products that are to come up sooner or later. One of the latest rumours is about a new Android-based 7’’ tablet by ASUS.
What is known for this new device is not confirmed by any instance. However, it is quite interesting, because the new ASUS project, (if there really is such) is quite attractive tablet with Intel Atom CPU at 1,2GHz. The list of specifications for the 7-incher include camera of unknown quality, capacitive display with resolution 1280×800, and 1GB operative memory. There will be choice of 8GB or 16GB of store capacity and it is possible to see this device produced in two colours. Connectivity-wise, along with the must-have Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth etc., the tablet will be offered in two variants – with and without 3G. The 3G model may be designed to enable its owners make voce calls which gave the mysterious project the name ASUS FonePad (different from the ASUS (PadFone).
The price, predicted for the hi-tech device is quite tolerable – $200 – $250, given the specification. Now all we and the other mobile fans can do is wait and see whether the rumours come true and the lovers of Android (Jelly Bean) tablets will have a new source of happiness.
