Then we discussed the Nokia Treasure Tag app. It became available on the Windows Phone Store in December last year. With the appearance of the app it was clear that the new accessories were to be unveiled very soon.
And the new accessories have been announced. Those following the topic can be happy. Nokia has already informed all interested users and parties that the new accessories are a couple of months away. The Nokia Treasure Tag is to come out globally in April. That is a device which is Bluetooth 4.0 enabled.
The Treasure Tag accessories operate on the principle of Bluetooth. They are precious because they can be attached to all objects. Then users can track their objects with the aid of their Lumia devices. The tracing is easy with these new accessories. The treasure tag attached to an object will send a signal to the user’s device. Tags can do that because they are connected to phones by means of NFC or by Bluetooth search. But even if users stop hearing the signal, they can do something simple to get the lost item with the tag. They can see the last location on the tag on HERE maps.
The benefit of the new accessories is that users can connect as many as four tags to one Windows Phone device. Then users can track all the four items which have tags. If they decide to leave behind one of the items, they can deactivate it using the app.
The new accessories are small and light, 30 x 30 x 10 mm in size and weighing only 13g. They will be offered in four colors, to enable selection according to taste. The batteries of the new Nokia Treasure Tag accessories will last for six months. Replacement of a battery is easy with a standard coin cell battery.
