Motorola Moto X price may drop in Q4 and we may expect wooden backplate
Well, as you may have heard there is an actual price war going on in Canada on who will provide the lowest price for the Motorola Moto X (along with a contract with Rogers, of course, that goes without saying).
However, Canada may not be the only place where the prices will drop. Actually now we have information in the form of a tweet by the reliable tipster evleaks (@evleaks) where it is said that we might expect a price cut for the new device and get the Motorola Moto X price down to just $100 and this will all happen during Q4.
For now the situation is the following the U.S. is offering the Motorola Moto X on AT&T and Verizon for $199.99. And when it comes to AT&T you can buy the phone customers may use the Moto Maker tool to customize the version of their phone by their own taste. Clients can select the color of the front and the back along with the trim. Verizon customers are expected to be able to order using the very same site but this will happen later this year.
In Canada on the other hand the device is offered at $169.99 on Rogers and for the same price, $169.99, on Best Buy and on Future Shop and you can find it as low as $149.99 on The Real Canadian SuperStore.
But while we wait to see what will happen with the Motorola Moto X price in the U.S. and Canada we can look at a new feature that has been almost confirmed and is now mentioned in the tweet of evleaks – wooden backplates.
As it turns out if you have been looking for this addition to your device and you are willing to pay a little bit more to get it, it is possible that you will be able to do this in Q4 for the price of $50. However, if the price information is confirmed you can use the money from Motorola Moto X price drop to buy the wooden backplate.
