Leaks around the BlackBerry 10.2 update
Well, we have another leak. This time it is BlackBerry and specifications around the ne BlackBerry 10.2 update. It seems that the new OS update will bring to the platform some new features and better system performance as well as new app support and more. BlackBerry Hub will provide service determining which messages get priority treatment based on conditions that you choose. You can also type a ready text message that will go to a caller if you have chosen to ignore his phone calls. That is a feature available on other platforms for some time now but for BlackBerry users is brand new.
BlackBerry is adding three different kinds of notifications so you will be overflowed with notifications even if you feel like being forever alone – actionable notifications on top of the screen, visual notifications on lockscreen and separate notification for each BBM group. Yep, you are pretty much set for anything and you won’t miss it.
There will be a new wallpaper for the Home screen available and a new BlackBerry Hub icon will be available and a Quick settings menu will also be introduced. So, you can conclude that the BlackBerry 10.2 now really looks like the major competitors except it keeps its own look.
What is more the task manager featured in the new BlackBerry 10.2 OS has some additional options like recognize which apps are draining a lot of battery life and hogging the phones internals.
Native Evernote app along with a new weather are also some of the surprises offered by the new operating system. The browser with a new reversable color mode (white text on a black background), among other changes. The smartphone system will have Wi-Fi Direct and NFC Smart Tag categories. And last but not least the biggest breakthrough of them all – multiple alarms. Yes, it may sound like something old but it is actually new for BlackBerry users so they can enjoy the alarms.
