Just before the launch, Apple Watch Pro CAD renderings indicate a revised design and a larger display
On September 7th, Apple will have a hardware event where it will introduce the iPhone 14 series, new iPad models, AirPods Pro 2, and perhaps even a Mac Pro. The Apple Watch Series 8 is also anticipated in addition to these. More importantly, the Apple Watch Pro may be among the new products that are introduced. Several articles have been published regarding the Apple Watch Pro, most recently by renowned Apple journalist Mark Gurman.
The CAD renderings, which were provided by industry insiders, show the Apple Watch Pro having a big display, which is consistent with recent reports. It will have the largest display an Apple Watch has yet to have. Based on what we know, the Apple Watch Pro will be 49mm in size, making it extremely hefty and not suitable for everyone, as Gurman correctly noted.
Starting with the front, CAD renderings of the Apple Watch Pro depict a large display with incredibly thin bezels. The right side of the frame had a notable change, adding a protrusion to house the Digital Crown, microphone, and multitasking button. It is unknown if the standard Series 8 devices will also receive this form factor. Since this is the first Apple Watch Pro model, we may also see some special straps.
The left side of the frame of the Apple Watch Pro appears to include a button and a speaker vent. This additional button’s function is still unknown. We’re interested to see what the Apple Watch Pro has to offer in new features.
According to rumors, the Apple Watch Pro’s bigger display will be able to display more fitness and health tracking data. New watch faces that utilize the additional screen space may also be introduced. The Apple Watch Pro will include a bigger battery, a low-power mode, and a tough titanium case. Due to its size and sturdy construction, the Apple Watch Pro might be not attractive to everyday consumers.
With the release of an Apple smartwatch Pro model, premium features may eventually be exclusive to this particular model, much like Apple has done with its iPhone Pro versions.
With a price range between $900 and $1000, the Apple Watch Pro will be the company’s most expensive wearable to date.
