A huge LG G2 mini might join its bigger brother soon
The device is going to be announced during next month’s CES 2014 in Las Vegas
Everyone can’t fail to notice that almost every single flagship has its smaller mini version. This is quite logical, when you think of it- it often happens to fall for a great high-end device with flawless hardware; however these devices are usually too expensive. That’s why many people prefer to turn to the mini versions of these flagships. The minis are basically the same device, with lowered specifications, smaller screen and more affordable price. HTC One has its HTC One mini, Samsung Galaxy S4 has its Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, and Sony Xperia Z has a whole division of little brothers.
Now it appears that LG G2 is also heading into that direction. Well, it’s not a secret that the device isn’t that popular, especially when it has to deal with staying under the shadow of the likes of LG G Flex and other competitive models. In all, LG G2 is a really nice 5.2-inch handset and, according to the recent rumors, it’s getting ready to introduce us to its little sibling. We must clarify that ‘little’ isn’t exactly the right word to describe a 4.7-incher, but it’s smaller than the original model, so we can still call it a mini.
Aside from its size, the LG G2 mini won’t be much different than the full-size model in terms of its specs. We can’t tell for sure whether the screen will hold 1280×720 pixels of resolution or 1920×1080 pixels; however the processing power is most likely to retain its source. The same splendid quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor will direct the show with 2GB of RAM.
According to the report, the device is going to be announced during next month’s CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
Unfortunately, so far nothing has been confirmed, so keep in mind that little scepticism can’t hurt. After all, if the leaks are true, this would be a really nice surprise.
