HTC One Developer Edition is getting updated with Android 4.3
Owners of HTC One Developer Edition have a reason to smile – their device is getting updated with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version of the platform. It is rolling out to the smartphones in US, not only for the carriers-branded versions but also for the unlocked flagships. The size of the update is 564MB, named 3.22.1540.1. The goodies that it brings are numerous, including enriched features, new capability and improvements of the user interface Sense 5. Some of the most significant enhancements are the new BlinkFeed features. The launched bar is improved, the lock screen now has a widget style, the home button is modified. There is also the option for quick settings, indication fort the battery level percentage in the notifications, several new Video Highlights themes. The Zoe file management is enriched etc.
The roll out has already begun, but if you are impatient to wait, just do it manually. You need to go to Settings – About – Software Updates – Check Now. If you see the 3.22.1540.1 version, you are ready to continue. Do not forget to fully charge the battery of the phone before you begin the installation process. The updating is happening in US right now, but it is expected pretty soon to begin in Canada and other countries. HTC announced the news with a tweet from its @HTCDev.
