Google Nexus 5 officially debuts on the mobile arena

The company managed to “trick” all of the sources and speculations that suggested that the announcing of Google Nexus 5 will happen in November. As a nice surprise the mobile giant introduced its new generation high-end smartphone. And in case this event is not significant enough, it also presented the new update Android 4.4 KitKat. What a day! The mobile world was all about Nexus 5 in the past few weeks. We explored and shared countless leaks, endless rumors, interesting predictions and some false leaks. Now the new high-end handset goes official.
What are the real specs of Google Nexus 5? First it is good to confirm one of the earliest rumors about the device. The answer is Yes, LG is manufacturing Nexus 5. The unique design of the phone fascinates with its curves and ergonomic shape. It is made of plastic and it is ultra light and slim. The new device comes with a 4.95-inches screen with a resolution of 1080x1920p. The screen has an in-cell touch capability which means that the display will register touch with the LCD. The Nexus 5 will bring an excellent visual experience outdoors. In the heart of Nexus 5 is ticking a quad-core 2.3GHz processor with a Snapdragon 800 chipset and 2GB RAM. It boasts 16GB or 32GB storage. If you need more in-built memory better choose the 32 GB variant as the phone does not support microSD cards.
Google Nexus 5 is armored with two cameras. On the back panel is located an 8MP shooter with a LED flash and amazing optical image stabilization that brings excellent picture quality in dim light according to Google. Users of Nexus 5 will enjoy the decreased blur and noise. Perhaps it is not a surprise that the camera of the new Nexus sports similar specs to the flagship LG G2 (the OIS for example). It is available on Google Play Store SIM-free for $349 for the 16GB variant and $399 for the 32GB. But before you head to the Google Play, you have to know that the 16GB model is already out of stock. We all knew that the demand for Nexus 5 will be huge, but perhaps even Google has not expected this big interest. It will ship on 8th of November. The 32GB variant is available so better hurry up. The carriers and retailer in the US that will launch the new smartphone are T-Mobile, Sprint, Amazon, Besy Buy and RadioShack. For now Verizon will not get the Nexus 5. AT&T has not revealed yet whether it will provide the new model. We are yet to find out the exact launch dates and the prices for Nexus 5 on and off contract. In terms of connectivity the device will support Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and 4G LTE.
