Galaxy S4 mini ready to hit the Korean market
Samsung Galaxy S4 mini finally arrives in South Korea on 23rd of August, according to a press release at Korea IT Times media. The small sibling of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4 will be offered by one of the major carriers in the country, KT. Earlier this year, the 4.3-inches smartphone was released on the UK and the US markets. Koreans who want to buy the device will have the option to purchase it subsidized, tied with a contract with KT or to buy it unlocked from local retailers. Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is considered as the smaller and cheaper version of the main star of Samsung, Galaxy S4. It is more modest in terms of specs compared to the flagship but it delivers a pretty decent package of features and possibilities for its price.
A quick reminder for what Galacy S4 mini has to offer includes a 4.3-inches qHD display, 540 x 960 pixels. It works with a dual-core Snapdragon 400 CPU with 1.7GHz and 1.5GB RAM. It assures 8GB storage, which can be increased up to 64GB.The handset runs over Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version of the platform and TouchWiz user interface. Users of Galaxy S4 will enjoy numerous native features of Samsung, like S Voice, S health, S Translator etc.
It features an 8MP main camera on the rare panel of the device with LED flash, digital zoom and the capability to record HD video. There is also a front-facing shooter with 1.9MP. The phone is fully functional for many hours thanks to the 1900mAh battery. Galaxy S4 mini for the Korean market will boast an LTE support. The price of the mini flagship in Korea is 550,000 won which is much more affordable than the Samsung Galaxy S4 (899,800 won). The main color versions for Galaxy S4 mini are black and white. The company has not revealed yet whether both versions will be available for the Korean market.
