Galaxy Note 3 Active to launch next month with a flexible display?
The Galaxy Note 3 was introduced earlier in September but according to new information, there will be another version of the device this time with a flexible display. The future version of the Galaxy Note 3 will arrive under a different name. Sources close to Samsung claim the new smartphone will be named Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Active.
The name is still a speculation, but one is sure. Samsung is very close to bring its new YOUM display technology to the market. The future device is reportedly launching next month, a few publications have revealed. The rumors of the so-called flexible display have been circulating through the Internet for a long time. Samsung and LG are in a battle to bring to the consumer market the first device with such a display. Both companies have been working really hard to win the race, but nobody knows about the distance to the finish line.
Earlier this month, we saw Samsung to announce the Galaxy Note 3 – a product that we expected to include a flexible display. Instead, the Note 3 will arrive with a conventional screen, for which many users are rather unhappy. If the news about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Active is true, Samsung should reveal its flexible technology for the first time in October.
Unfortunately, the bendable displays won’t be unbreakable. Yes, they will bend and curve but only to a certain degree. The first bendable display in a smartphone is expected to be 5.88 inches in diagonal, but still we haven’t heard an official confirmation from the Korean giant. Some publications suggest that the future Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Active will be produced in limited quantities. The new variant of the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to hit the market after October.
