evasi0n iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak almost ready for release
Over the last few months the Jailbreaking community have been working hard, trying to provide an untethered solution for iOS 6 and the iPhone 5. Now it seems the evasi0n iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak is almost ready for release, possibly this coming Sunday.
It all seems very much true, since the evasi0n website has been updated again and at the time of writing is showing the jailbreak tool is eighty percent complete. It is also currently undergoing private beta testing on OSX, Linux, and Windows. The next step is listed as extended beta testing so a Sunday release for the jailbreak could still be on.
iOS users obviously prefer to have an untethered jailbreak available as it means they don’t have to keep connecting their device to a PC every time it is rebooted or turned off. This jailbreak is compatible with all the versions of iOS 6 that have been released so far and hardware that can run the OS. Recently we heard that the Jailbreaking community had been already working on versions of their own devices but were waiting until Apple had released iOS 6.1 before making the untethered jailbreak available.
