More details about Galaxy Grand Neo leak out
Galaxy Grand Neo revealed in a new leak
Yesterday we shared the leak with internal document revealing the specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo. It is the affordable version of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2. Now, thanks to the fellows from GSMArena, we can share more details about the device. It will arrive with a 5-inches WVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The pixel density of the screen is 187ppi which is pretty modest for such large device but it is satisfying considering that it is a budget phablet.
The Galaxy Grand Neo will be powered by a quad-core Cordex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. It will be coupled with 1GB RAM. The storage in the smartphone is 8GB with microSD slot present in the device. The primary shooter of Galaxy Grand Neo is 5MP on the rare panel. It can record 720p video. There is a VGA camera on the front panel for video calls. As we know from the yesterday’s leak, the smartphone arrives with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean pre-installed. It is customized with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it. The device is provided with different connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth and HSPA+ and GPS. The battery of the Galaxy Grand Neo is with a capacity of 2100mAh. It supports dual-SIM. The smartphone has the characteristic for the Galaxy line sleek design, made from polycarbonate. It measures 143.7 x 77.1 x 9.6mm. Samsung has not revealed details about the device yet.
We expect to see it in at least two color variants – black and white. The new leak reveals that the Galaxy Grand Neo will be released in Belgium in the 7th week of 2014, 10-16 February. Perhaps more countries in Europe will launch the affordable phablet soon after that. The price of the smartphone is €300. The leaked price for the device is higher than most of the smartphones in the category. Therefore we are curious to see whether Galaxy Grand Neo has something special to give it an advantage before its rivals.
