BBM maybe with exclusive access for Samsung
Now we have a really exciting news that started from a tweet from Samsung Nigeria, which reports exciting that BBM for Android will be launched on Friday. Well, it is exciting for Samsung users only because Samsung will have three months exclusive to BBM for Android. This is also why there were secret invitations to events in Malaysia and India.
As we have told you earlier today the Android installer APK is up on Android, although it will not work unless you are whitelisted for beta testing the service. The stranger thing, however, is that both iOS and Android users are quite interested in the new BBM app but they would not buy a BlackBerry handset.
Samsung started the promption of BBM in Africa last month. If you really want to go a bit further back than that, back in 2011 we showed you leaked shots of BBM running on an Android device. Eventually, Android and iOS users will be able to have all of the social networking features that BlackBerry owners enjoy.
Considering that there had been speculation recently that BlackBerry would spin off BBM, perhaps Samsung would be an interested buyer.
For now we can’t tell you much about the deal but if it turns out to be true it would be one unexpected and very brave move as the app is highly desired, as we have stated, by both Android and iOS users alike and this would mean a wing up for the Android in the global marketshare competition between the companies.
Overall, let’s hope that the BBM app will come sooner and we will see for whom it will be exclusive and who will get it later. There is not much need for talking at this point just in anticipation for the new app.
