ASUS PadFone mini will be unveiled on December 11
ASUS PadFone mini debuts on 11th of December
In the end of the summer an interesting leak appeared showing an ASUS road map that revealed more information for several upcoming devices by the company. Among the handsets and the tablets that appeared in the list was the small-sized ASUS PadFone Infinity. The mini variant of the original device is a hybrid between tablet and smartphone called “padfone.” In terms of size and specs it boasts more modest specs than the original device. The upcoming model has just gotten its GCF certification and seems ready for its debut, scheduled for the next week.
The ASUS PadFone mini features 4.3-inches screen, 540 x 960p. The expectations suggest that the new device will be powered by a Snapdragon 400 chip under the hood. The leak does not reveal much of the specs, but the big event is coming soon, so we will not wait for long until we see it. In terms of connectivity the new device will most likely support 3G and not 4G. It will run on Android 4.3 OS. The key feature of the hybrid is the 7-inches dock that can slot the phone into a tablet. The full-sized ASUS PadFone Infinity launched in September arrived with 10-inces dock that is paired with a 5-inches smartphone. ASUS is sending out invitations for 11th of December. The big event for the announcement of the PadFone mini will be held in Taipei, Taiwan.
In less than a week the ASUS PadFone mini will officially join the mobile world. The new device is expected to be launched in Taiwan. The PadFone series are not released in the US. Therefore there is very little to no possibility to see the ASUS PadFone mini landing on the shelves of the carriers in the States. The company has not announced the price for the device yet. It is expected to hit the markets throughout Asia.
