Asus has new tablets coming
Asus FonePad HD 7 will soon receive a specs bump in comparison to the old FonePad device. Actually the device has not been officially introduced or named yet but there is a high possibility the device will be launched on the IFA in Berlin in the beginning of September.
Regarding the new MeMO Pads we also have some initial specs that may or may not come true in the end.
Asus FonePad had a 1.2 GHz processor which is pretty nice for the Taiwan company but the follower of the first version will have 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor. We should also note at this point that there was a refreshed version of the original FonePad that also featured 1.6GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor. The new tablet from Asus is also rumored to feature 5MP back camera and 1.2-megapixel front one which is over the average for the tablet category.
When it comes to display we are probably talking about 7-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 800 which is also in the average range for resolution and diagonal length. When it comes to memory and space storage and RAM we are talking about 1GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. The unfortunate in a way thing is that it will only run the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
Other rumors about the other tablets featured by Asus claim that the MeMO Pad HD 10 (not the same as the MeMO Pad FHD 10) will have a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 800, 1GB of RAM, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of internal storage, 1.2-megapixel front facing camera and a 2-megapixel rear camera. This will also be running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
On the other hand we have the MeMO Pad HD 8 which will have a 8-inch display with resolution of 12800 x 800, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, and will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
As you probably have guessed at this point these specs are far from official.
