Alleged LG G2 Mini appears in the Bluetooth SIG database
LG G2 Mini presented in a new leak from Bluetooth SIG
More and more rumors in the digit world reveal that LG is getting ready to introduce a smaller version of its current flagship, LG G 2 Mini. Not long ago a source from LG unveiled that the model numbers of the smartphone are LG D620 and LG D618. The tipster revealed that the new device will boast an 8MP camera on the back. LG has not confirmed the existence of the phone, however a new leak from the Bluetooth SIG does. Recently, the smartphone dubbed LG D620 has received its certification from the agency.
The news came along with the report published in Japan that includes more details for the specs of the model. The rumors say that it be equipped with mid-range specs. In general the LG G2 Mini will be a smaller and more modest version of the flagship. It is expected to sports a 4.3-inch screen with a resolution of 960 x 540p which is rather low compared to some of the mini variants of the flagships of rival companies. The LG G2 Mini might feature similar specs to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with Snapdragon 400 chip.
The operating system that will work on the new model is Android 4.4.2 KitKat. While the flagship LG G2 is proud with its 13MP rare camera with exceptional capabilities and OIS, the small-sized handset will be armored with 8MP shooter. If rumors turn out to be true it seems that the company will follow the more popular path for the mini flagships to provide lower specs than the original models. The only exception for now is the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact which arrives in smaller panel than the Xperia Z1, but sports almost the same features and capabilities. The previous leak about the LG G2 Mini reveled that it might support 4G LTE connectivity. There is no further information about the date for the debut of the phone or for its price. The Bluetooth SIG certification gets it one closer to the announcement.
