Alcatel introduced two new smartphones, One Touch Idol S and One Touch Idol Mini
Alcatel might not be one of the most discussed companies in the tech world lately, but it does have some fresh new models to offer to those who are looking for a decent handset at reasonable price. The manufacturer has just released two new Android running smartphones that bring nice packages of features for users that need reliable phones at affordable price. The two additions to the family are One Touch Idol S and One Touch Idol Mini. They both models phones are purposed for developing markets. Users who want a compact smartphone with the basic features for connectivity and satisfying performance should definitely consider getting one of those.
Alcatel One Touch Idol S arrives in a very thin body, only 7.4 millimeters thick. It boasts a 4.7-inches screen, IPS with 720x1280p resolution. The handset works with a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz under the hood and 1GB RAM. It runs over Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. The phone assures the modest 4GB storage. With the support for microSD card, owners of the phone will be able to expand it. In terms of camera, the smartphone is equipped with a 8MP primary shooter on the back and 1.3MP camera on the front panel. The main camera captures 1080p video. One Touch Idol S comes in several color versions, like Fresh Rose, Cherry Red and Slate.
The One Touch Idol Mini is a budget smartphone that sports a 4.3-inches display with a resolution of 480x854p. It is slightly thicker than the One Touch S and measures 7.9 millimeters in thickness. The phone is powered by a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz and 512MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 OS and brings 4GB storage with the possibility for expansion via microSD card. The main camera of the budget device is 5MP. One Touch Idol Mini supports the main connectivity features, like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It is offered in three different colors, including Silver, Slate and Cranberry Pink. Alcatel offers a dual-SIM version for the device. There is still no information about the price and the distribution of the One Touch Idol S and One Touch Idol Mini.
