Three tablets announced by Lenovo at MWC
Nobody has said that the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is only for smartphone. In fact, today, on the second day of the congress, Lenovo announced four devices – three new tablets and one phone that we have already seen. The tablets are all budget and mid-range devices and we will have a look on them below.
The best of the tree tablets is Lenovo S6000. It comes with Jelly Bean, which surely is a good news, but everything else makes it just an average tablet. The display is with 10-inch size, 1280×800 resolution and sports the IPS technology. Then it comes the processor, a quad-core MediaTek at 1.2GHz rate (8389/8125). The battery life is said to be about 8 hours and you can get it with a HSPA+ radio. The dimensions of the tablet are width – 8.6mm and weight – 560g.
The next in the list is the 7-incher Lenovo A3000, which also has a 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core and uses IPS for its display which, however, is with lower resolution – 1024×600. The optional HSPA+ is fact here, too, and the tablet is a bit thicker – 11mm. The device supports microSD up to 64GB.
The low-budget tablet is Lenovo A1000, a 7’’ device with 1.2GHz processor (dual-core) and Dolby Digital Plus – the company seems to target not only the first-time buyers, but also the music enthusiasts. This tablet also supports microSD, but up to 32GB, which is not bad, because the internal storage capacity of A1000 is 16GB.
We will be able to get the tablets in Q2 and they will be available worldwide (including the USA). Prices are not discussed yet, but we may get more information at MWC, so stay tuned for more news.
