iPad mini panels production issues solved
Sometimes even large manufacturers like Apple get the things wrong – it doesn’t always depend on them entirely. Such is the case with the company’s iPad mini – the experts estimated a lot more sales than it really got, because they couldn’t have known that there would be problems with the production of displays for the device. AU Optronics, the supplier of mini displays of Apple reported “yield issues” which led to losses for the company.
However, now the company has boasted the production and everything seems alright. The production of displays has reached 1 million and the company has started work on the next generation iPad mini displays. This is the result of a long-lasting efforts to increase the production and provide the parts.
Now, in 2013 iPad mini is selling well, constantly increasing the number of units sold. AU Optronics is in charge of providing wide-angle AH-VA panels for the mini, while the other panel maker for Apple – LG Display – produces IPS wide-angle displays.
Now we have to wait for the new statistics and figures, and of course, for the announcement of the next generation iPad mini, which is said to come out till the end of the year. Let’s hope the rumours come true again!
