Users of Apple mobile devices quickly bumping up to iOS 6
According to the web tracking company Chitika, iOS 6, the newest version of Apple’s mobile platform, is now on nearly 60% of iPhones, just days after it was launched on September 19th. In addition, the new iOS has been adopted by more than 45% of iPad users, too, and iPod touch users are also quickly bumping up their devices to iOS 6.
Despite of all alleged mishaps of the iOS 6, all in all it has proved to be smoothly operating. Moreover, it has been rolled-out very conveniently. No wonder it shows such rapid growth and popularity. In fact, with a single phone in its lineup and a reasonable level of carrier independence, Cupertino is the fastest company when it comes to updates.
A peep at Apple’s iOS competitor – the Android OS. Multiple reasons may have effect, but the fact stays – Android is probably the slowest to get new updates. Most Android phones, even the most popular ones, need months before (if ever) getting the new Android OS version.
However, when it comes to devices manufactured under the officially approved Nexus brand by Google, we’d say they are starting to catch up with Apple.
