Alcatel presented OneTouch Idol 2, Idol 2 Mini and Pop Fit
Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2, Idol 2 Mini and Pop Fit enter the mobile arena
MWC 2014 begins in less than a day from now and the big announcements from the companies have already started. Alcatel officially introduced three new devices on the mobile arena.
The first in the newly revealed group is the wearable tech by the company Alcatel OneTouch Pop Fit. It is a unique device – a wearable smartphone that comes with a 2.8-inch screen QVGA. It is powered by a dual-core processor ticking at 1GHz and MediaTek chipset. The model works with 512MB RAM. The OneTouch Pop Fit comes in two variants with 16GB storage or with 32GB. It is powered by a 1000mAh battery. The tiny smartphone will be available in pink, yellow, blue, red and black. In the package with OneTouch Pop Fit come also a semi-transparent flip cover, JBL earphones and armband case for attaching to the arm. The price of the extraordinary device is €89.
The largest smartphone in the group of the newly announced devices is the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2. It sports a 5-inch screen IPS with a resolution of 720p. The CPU under the hood of the phone is a quad-core clocked at 1.2GHz. The OneTouch Idol 2 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The connectivity features supported by the model are Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 3G, LTE. It boasts an 8MP main camera and 1.3MP front shooter. The OneTouch Idol 2.is announced in two variants – 3G enabled for €199 and 4G for €249, both SIM-free.
The smaller version of Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 is equipped with a 4.5-inchqHD screen. it works with a quad-core CPU ticking at 1.2GHz. The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 Mini provides the same package of features as its bigger sibling, fitted in smaller body. The platform pre-installed on the model is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat. It boasts a 8MP primary camera and a 2MP front camera. The mini smartphone also comes in two variants. The costs for the 3G model are €169 while the 4G enabled phone can be purchased for €209.
