Motorola rolls out an update for Droid Zap with new features and wider range of supported devices
Motorola brings some zapness to few more additional devices
Owners of Motorola Droid devices know a fast and easy way to share media content with their friends and that is the Droid Zap app. The application is easy to use, as it takes a simple swipe on the screen in order to search for other Droid devices that also use Zap and exchange content with them. Good news comes with the latest update of the app that arrives with a new feature- the Zap Zone, but before we get to the point, we have something even better to begin with.
So far the Droid Zap has been opened only to a limited range of devices from the Motorola Droid branding; however the developer has now opened things up a little bit in order to bring some zapness to few more additional devices running on Android fuel. With that being said, now any Android phone can take advantage of the Droid Zap and send and receive photos. In case you’re using a Jelly Bean of later, you can simply start a party by inviting users and once all the invitations are being accepted, you and the other participators can share the zap out of each other.
The coolest addition is that while the Zap Zone is still on, all images you take will be automatically shared to everyone in the group setting. As the app is no longer limited to Droid handsets, now you can send content even to non-Droid users. Well, of course, there’s still an opened questioned if owners of devices different of the Motorola Droid series would actually consider downloading the Droid Zap app, especially when there are so many other apps for sending emails, sharing images and etc. Nevertheless, the app is quite compact and simple to use, so in case you decide to give it a try, zap straight to the Google Store and grab it for free.
