Recently a few of the most popular HTC models got their red outfit exclusively in different markets. Now HTC Desire 601 joins the smartphones in red shell by the Taiwanese manufacturer. The UK mobile operator O2 officially announced that it is selling the extraordinary red variant of Desire 601 exclusively for the country. The new version of the mid-ranger phone joins the white and the black options already available in the UK.
HTC Desire 601 is mostly known as HTC Zara. It is equipped with a 4.5-inches display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by dual-core CPU with Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz with 1GB RAM. There are 8GB storage on board that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD cards. The model runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. On the rare panel of HTC Desire 601 is set a 5MP camera with LED flash. It can record 1080p video. The front-facing camera is VGA. One of the biggest advantages of the model is support for LTE connectivity. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G. The Desire 601 is equipped with a great package of specs for its category and price. The battery of the phone is with a capacity of 2100mAh.
O2 offers the red variant of the smartphone for £240 with the Pay & Go program. Customers can get it for free with a two-year contract and £17 payment each month. This plan includes you unlimited texts, 500MB data for every month and 300 minutes. O2 offers the O2 Refresh plan that includes unlimited voice and text in addition to 1GB data for £17, 5GB data for £22 and 8GB for £27 of 4G. The current price of the black and white variants of Desire 601 in retailers in the UK is around £260.
