Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 officially announced at CES in Wi-Fi and LTE variants
Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 indeed sports a 2560×1600 pixel display
Few months ago, the very first leaks of a 12-inch + Samsung tablet device has hit the web, suggesting that the Korean company is ready for a change in terms of releasing tablets with bigger screen. The speculations lead to a bunch of other rumors and theories and finally today at CES we had all of those officially confirmed. The biggest member of the Galaxy Note family has joined the party wrapping off the 12.2-inch slate and it’s titled Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.
Not that we didn’t report the device’s specs yesterday thanks to AnTuTu benchmark, however those weren’t confirmed by Samsung.
Now, we can rest assure that the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 indeed sports a 2560×1600 pixel display which is basically the same screen we can find in the smaller predecessor Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.
According to the company, the tablet will arrive in two variants depending on its connectivity. The model that supports Wi-Fi will operate with an Exynos 5 Octa processor coated at 1.9GHz and the LTE variant will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 at 2.3GHz. Both variants will be paired with 3GB of RAM, so you can count on excellent performance.
If we exclude the processors, the rest of the hardware pretty much resembles the specs of the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition that we mentioned earlier. For example, the camera set will be the same, offering a 8-megapixel rare-facing snapper paired with a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The integrated space is set for 32/63GB of internal storage and as it’s almost obligatory for such high-end device, there’s a microSD card slot.
The battery is extremely powerful at 9500 mAh and that can assure enough talking time without recharging.
Of course, Samsung’s exclusive S Pen stylus comes in the box which is a great combo to the huge screen. Again, the device is running the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.
