Samsung’s UHD TV get smarter with finger gestures
Users will simply change the channel by speaking the number out loud
Recently it came clear that Samsung is going to grace the show floor in Las Vegas during CES 2014 with world’s first, largest and curved TV. The 105-inch UHD TV takes over the 65-inch model that the Korean company unveiled in September at IFA. Previous reports suggested that the device will sport 5120×2160 pixels of resolution and aspect ratio of 21:9. If we do the maths right, this is 11 million pixels! Also, the UHD TV will feature a Quadmtatic Picture Quality that would deliver content in UHD level quality as well as an optimize color and better depth via the new pic quality algorithm.
In all, smart TVs are getting smarter with those hardware improvements and Samsung is really about to show off with its new device that will arrive with enhanced convenience and great ease of features.
‘Samsung’s 2014 Smart TV models deliver significantly improved voice interaction and motion control features so that our consumers will be able to enjoy our Smart TV more intuitively. We will continue to develop content that integrates voice and motion recognition for added convenience.’ comments Kyungshik Lee, Senior Vice President of the Service Strategy Team of Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics.
According to the newest report, the voice control will also be improved due to new features that enables users to change the channel by simply speaking the number out loud as well as a new motion control though finger gestures.
Things go indeed in the Sci-Fi field when you think of it. Like, imagine how you stop a video and go back to the previous screen as the TV will monitor your finger counter-clockwise and will make it even more convenient if you’re using commands with your whole hand. These gestures would be used to change a TV channel, to adjust volume, as well as to find and select content and more.
