Battlefield 4: Command the Battlefield directly from your tablet
Few weeks ago when the Battlefield 4 launched, we announced that the Commander mode is coming for iOS and Android platforms. According to EA games, the Commander mode supports only tablet devices on both platforms, respectively Apple iPad and Apple iPad Mini, as well as Google Nexus and Samsung Galaxy Note. Commander mode can be combined with the Battlelog so users can join matches via the server browser as well as even play it remotely whenever there’s a Wi-Fi connection. Already interested?
Now Battlefield 4 Commander is a fact in Google Play Store and iTunes, however it requires that you own an original Battlefield 4 copy on at least one platform as well as an active soldier who is at least rank 10. The Commander mode allows you to command the battlefield in a RTS-like view and to observe the whole battle through the eyes of the players. In addition to giving orders to your teammates, you can also order in missile strikes on targets to completely devastate your enemies. This means, that you’ll have to rely on your teammates for success and to send them supplies and vehicles. The Commander mode also features UAV that you can use to scan whole areas for enemy activity and EMP to jam their radar.
In addition to Battlefield 4 Commander, Battlelog also got its update and you can combine it with your game for free from the Google Play Store or iTunes. It features your statuses, what you need to unlock next, result from your matches and it also enables you to challenge your friends on missions. The app will help you find a server to play on or to join your friends remotely while playing. The Battlelog features soldier status and progression, loadout customization, suggestions and tracking on new awards and special weapons, battle reports in full details as well as a full battle screen, leader boards and mission challenges.
