HTC One in the UK now gets Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5
Even though Jason Mackenzie, HTC’s America division president, knows how to use Twitter this time the latest hot news for the Taiwanese giant comes from the UK division. The twitter post points out that the new HTC One is now in the process of receiving OTA update that will bring the HTC One to Android 4.3 and, of course Sense 5.5 to the phone for the region of UK, at least for now.
According to the tweet if you happen to live 0in the United Kingdom and you are a proud owner of HTC One all you should do for now is go to “Settings, then “About” and then “Software updates”. This may even not be necessary as the phone may, in fact, show you as a notification that reads that the phone has received an OTA update.
With this update we can see the 3.62.401.1 software version to your device and improvements on Daydream, while now including OpenGL ES 3.0 and support for the new UI Sense 5.5, which brings some new features to BlinkFeed and adds Instagram and Google + feeds along with a lot of changes. A new UI for the video highlights is set in the gallery along with the new Sense 5.5.
The bad news is that, as always, the update will come on gradually and even if you are in the UK, even if you have bought an HTC it may be still early to receive the new update. As we have said in a lot of posts now and this one is no exclusion the updates roll-out in waves, which are there just to test your patience.
For now we will need to be satisfied with the early tweet that we and a lot of other people have noticed that points out at least partially.
