HTC One Max debuts on the mobile arena with fingerprint scanner and Sense 5.5 on board
Rumors, speculations and leaks about HTC One Max have been surfacing on the internet since the first words by HTC for the existence of the phablet. The anticipation for the large-sized device became even bigger when the first leaks revealed the possibility for a fingerprint scanner integrated in the device. Biometric innovative technology, large display, unique design with body made of aluminum and Snapdragon 600 chipset. Can we ask for more? HTC One Max has it all. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and works with a solid 3300mAh battery under the hood.
The latest speculations about the phablet were related to its announcement date. Many believed that we will see the HTC One Max on 15th or 17th of October. Some rumors suggested 16th. No more speculations or rumors, the large-sized high-end smartphone is officially presented by the company.
The first thing that grabs attention in the One Max is its sleek design, in line with the appearances of HTC One and HTC One Mini. It arrives in a body with dimensions: 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.29mm. The phablet weighs 217 grams. When HTC first announced its plans to release a large-sized variant of its flagship, we all were wondering how large exactly this device will be. Most of the rumors and leaks were hinting for a display with 5.7 or 5.9-inches. One Max sports a 5.9-icches screen Super LCD3 with a resolution of 1080 pixels. the pixel density of the phablet is 367ppi which is rather impressive considering its size. The innovative smartphone works with a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and 2GB RAM on board. Owners of the phablet will have either 16GB or 32GB storage with the possibility to expand it via microSD slot. In terms of camera, the HTC One Max boasts UltraPixel camera with f/2.0 aperture located on the rare panel. On the front side lies 2.1MP camera. Just beneath the rare camera is one of the key features of the phablet, the fingerprint scanner. It has similar capabilities like the Touch ID fingerprint scanner integrated in the Apple iPhone 5S.
The feature in One Max can be used for unlocking the device. It also has the capability for launching up of three different apps set up by the owner of the phablet. The sensor will be working with three different fingerprints of the user. In terms of software, the new phablet runs on Andorid 4.3 Jelly Bean with the HTC Sense 5.5 on top of it. The update of the user interface was much anticipated by users of HTC devices. It brings numerous improvements, like enriched functionality of BlinkFeed news reader, support for Instagram and Google+, the Video Highlights option etc. The high-end phablet provides abundance of connectivity features, including NFC support and 4G LTE connectivity. It works with 3300mAh battery.
Fortunately HTC is not planning to keep us in waiting until we get the chance to try the device in real. The company is ready to launch One Max almost immediately on the global markets. The UK market will receive it later this week. In the US, the phablet will be launched by Sprint and Verizon later in the year, sometime for the holiday season.
