Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 branded AT&T are getting OTA Amber update
Owners of Windows Phone running devices have been anticipating the arrival the newest update of the platform named Amber. The improved version of the software was launched in the middle of August. Since then it is gradually arriving to the various Windows Phone running models. Two of the smartphones that were not lucky enough to get the update until now were the AT&T branded Nokia Lumia 820 and Nokia Lumia 920. Fortunatelly this is about the change. In the last days many owners of Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 have received the OTA update Amber. It seems that the update is finally rolling out to the models bringing some new features and enriched apps.
The most exciting improvements include the auto-focus in the camera app and the access to the Nokia Smart Cam app. Those of you who use the Lumia 920 model can enjoy the Nokia Pro Cam app. Some of the other extras coming up with Amber include the option to turn on the Nokia Glance Screen. It will enable you to see the battery status and the clock even when it screen is not turned on. The OTA Amber update will bring the capability “flip to silence” – you can silent your phone by flipping it face down. The improved software will assure a better stability, performance, network connectivity etrc in the phones.
Keep in mind that the OTA Amber update is just beginning to roll out to Lumia 820 and Lumia 920. As usual, this type of updating process takes some time. Armor yourself with patience and wait. You can check regularly for the update by going to Settings – Phone update – Check for updates. Before you begun with the downloading and installing, be sure you are connected via Wi-Fi and your battery is fully charged.
